Pablo is a Danish brand of tobacco-free nicotine pouches. The range we stock runs from 10.2mg to 30mg of nicotine per pouch, and every can costs the same £3.79. That leaves two choices: strength and flavour. This guide covers both, explains the 50mg on the can and sets out where Pablo stands under UK law.
Quick answer: We stock Pablo tobacco-free nicotine pouches in four strengths: Silver 10.2mg, Gold 17mg, the original 24mg mints and Exclusive 30mg, all at £3.79 a can. Most people coming from ZYN, Velo or Killa will find their rung at Silver or Gold. The 24mg and 30mg pouches are only for people already comfortable on strong pouches.
What is Pablo?
Pablo is made by N.G.P Tobacco ApS in Aalborg, Denmark, according to Pablo's own site. The company trades as NGP Empire (The Snus Outlet). "Tobacco" is part of the company's legal name, not a pouch ingredient. NGP Empire also makes Killa (Haypp).
PouchSpot's Pablo guide lists what's inside a pouch: nicotine, plant fibres, water, flavourings and pH adjusters. It describes the pouches as slim, tobacco-free and made with a moist formula.
You'll see Pablo called a few different things:
- "Pablo snus", "pablos" and "pablo's snus" are everyday names for these pouches. Pablo contains no tobacco and isn't tobacco snus.
- "Nicopods" is an informal word for nicotine pouches.
- "Pablo gum" most likely means the Bubble Gum flavour, which we only stock at 30mg.
The Pablo strength ladder: four strengths, one price
Every strength below is the amount of nicotine per pouch, taken from our product titles. The price is the same on every rung, so stronger isn't better value. You're only choosing how strong you want it and which flavour you like.
| Range | Strength per pouch | Flavours we stock | Price per can | Who it's for (existing users) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Silver Edition | 10.2mg | 7 | £3.79 | People used to pouches of around 6–11mg |
| Gold Edition | 17mg | 14 | £3.79 | People used to pouches of around 11–13.5mg |
| Original mints (Ice Cold, Red, X Ice Cold) | 24mg | 3 | £3.79 | Experienced strong-pouch users only |
| Exclusive | 30mg | 25 | £3.79 | Experienced strong-pouch users only |
The three 24mg mints are listed in our range as "Pablo Exclusive 24mg", so don't mistake them for the 30mg Exclusive. Exclusive 30mg is the strongest Pablo we stock.
Both 24mg and 30mg sit above 20mg. They aren't for anyone who isn't already used to strong pouches.
Pablo lines we don't stock
Other sites list Pablo lines that aren't in our range. These include Pablo Dry 18mg, Pablo Mini 15mg, a Banana Ice Exclusive, Silver Edition Cold Mint and Grape Ice, and Passion Fruit at Exclusive strength. We only stock Passion Fruit in Gold 17mg. Everything we do stock is in the tables on this page.
Why does the can say 50mg when Pablo is 30mg?
The 50mg on the front of the Exclusive can is milligrams of nicotine per gram of pouch material (mg/g). The 30mg is the amount in each pouch, and that's the figure that matters. PouchSpot and other retailers explain it the same way.
Here's the difference in plain words. Per gram tells you how concentrated the pouch material is. Per pouch tells you how much nicotine you're actually putting in your lip. The two only line up once you know how much one pouch weighs, and the manufacturer doesn't publish a pouch weight we can quote.
That's why some sites list different figures. For example, one retailer assumes a heavier pouch and puts Exclusive at about 35mg and Ice Cold at about 21mg. We list the per-pouch strength from our catalogue: 24mg for Ice Cold and 30mg for Exclusive.
Rule of thumb: compare brands on mg per pouch, not on the big number on the lid. People also ask how many cigarettes one pouch equals. We haven't found a sourced figure for that, so we don't give one and stick to mg per pouch instead.
Which Pablo strength suits you?
This section is for people who already use nicotine pouches. If you don't use nicotine, Pablo isn't for you. Find the line closest to what you use now, then look at the matching Pablo rung.
| What you use now | Pablo rung to look at |
|---|---|
| ZYN 6mg or 9mg, or Velo 8mg or 10mg | Silver 10.2mg |
| ZYN 11mg, Killa 13.2mg or ZYN XX Strong 13.5mg | Gold 17mg |
| Pablo Gold 17mg, and you find it mild | The 24mg mints |
| Already used to the 24mg mints | Exclusive 30mg, if you need it at all |
Silver 10.2mg is the closest match for most ZYN and Velo users. If you're on 6mg, treat even Silver as a step up and take it gradually. In our 10.2mg Pablo Silver range, the mint options are Spearmint and Peppermint. Every other Silver flavour is fruit.
Gold is the only 17mg line we stock, and it comes in 14 flavours. It's the natural rung for anyone on ZYN XX Strong or Killa.
Move up one rung at a time. PouchSpot points out that going from ZYN 13.5mg straight to 30mg is "more than a doubling" (ZYN vs Pablo).
The 24mg and 30mg pouches are above 20mg and aren't for anyone who isn't already used to strong pouches. Don't jump straight to them. Use one pouch at a time and follow the guidance on the can. Staying on a rung that suits you is fine. For more on matching strength to what you use, see our nicotine pouch strength guide.

"Ice" or "Frosted" in a flavour name usually means a cooling finish on top of the main flavour.
Flavours in all three strengths
Blue Raspberry, Blueberry Peach Ice, Kiwi, Pear and Pineapple come at 10.2mg, 17mg and 30mg. If one of these is your flavour, you can pick whichever strength matches the pouches you already use.
Flavours in Gold and Exclusive
Cola, Dark Cherry, Frosted Ice, Frosted Mint, Grape Ice and Tropical Punch come at 17mg and 30mg. So does Strawberry Kiwi, which is called Kiwi Strawberry at 30mg. For mint fans in Gold, the choice is between Frosted Mint and White Mint.
Single-strength flavours
Spearmint and Peppermint are Silver only. White Mint and Passion Fruit are Gold only. Mocca, Strawberry Cheesecake, Pink Lemonade and the other ten flavours marked 30mg-only in the table come only at 30mg, so they're for strong-pouch users only.
Blueberry Peach Ice at 30mg gets a lot of searches, and we've written a separate 30mg Pablo Blueberry Peach Ice review. It's a 30mg pouch for people already on strong pouches. If you like the sound of the flavour but not the strength, it also comes at 10.2mg and 17mg.
Is Pablo the strongest nicotine pouch?
No. Exclusive 30mg is the strongest Pablo, but higher per-pouch strengths are sold in the UK, including in our own range. Havens Red Line is 32.5mg, Iceberg and Aroma Attention are 35mg, Cuba Black Line is 43mg and Maggie Extreme is 45mg.
Strength isn't something to aim for. Pick the rung that matches what you use now.
Pablo vs ZYN, Velo and Killa
Here's how the closest rungs line up on strength and price per can in our range. Pablo's maker says each can holds 20 pouches, so Pablo works out at about 19p a pouch (pablopouch.com). We don't have sourced counts for ZYN or Velo, so the table compares per can.
| Brand / line | Strength per pouch | Price per can |
|---|---|---|
| Pablo Silver | 10.2mg | £3.79 |
| Velo | 10mg | £4.99 |
| ZYN Medium | 11mg | £4.19 |
| Killa | 13.2mg | £3.79 |
| ZYN XX Strong (strongest ZYN we stock) | 13.5mg | £4.19 |
| Pablo Gold | 17mg | £3.79 |
ZYN: Pablo Silver sits close to ZYN 11mg. Pablo Gold sits above ZYN XX Strong 13.5mg, the strongest ZYN we stock. Our ZYN range also includes Mini cans at 3mg and 6mg, and we don't stock a Pablo Mini. So the choice comes down to pouch format and flavour.
Velo: The strongest Velo we stock is 10mg at £4.99, so Silver 10.2mg is the like-for-like Pablo rung.
Killa: The Killa we stock is 13.2mg at the same £3.79, and it comes from the same maker. If you use Killa and want to try Pablo, look at Gold 17mg, not the 30mg. Our Killa pouches guide covers that range in full.
Our verdict: neither brand is "better". Choose on pouch format, flavour range and the strength you already use.
How to use Pablo pouches
- Place one pouch between your gum and upper lip. Don't chew it.
- Pablo's own site says a pouch is typically used for about 30 minutes (pablopouch.com); follow the guidance on your can. Use one pouch at a time.
- You may feel a tingle or a cooling sensation. It's usually stronger at higher strengths and in "Ice" or "Frosted" flavours.
- Keep the used pouch in the lid compartment until you can bin it, rather than dropping it (PouchSpot gives the same advice).
For the general method, see our guide to using pouches.
Side effects and addiction
Nicotine is addictive, and that's true at every strength, including Silver. Common side effects are hiccups, gum irritation and nausea, especially at high strengths. PouchSpot notes that too much nicotine can cause nausea, dizziness and a racing heart.
If you feel unwell, take the pouch out. Higher strengths make these effects more likely, which is another reason to step up slowly or stay where you are. Our guide to nicotine pouch side effects covers this in more detail.
Are Pablos legal in the UK? (as of October 2026)
As of October 2026, the Tobacco and Vapes Act 2026 is law. It received Royal Assent on 29 April 2026.
Selling tobacco for oral use (traditional snus) has been illegal in the UK since 1992 under the Tobacco for Oral Use (Safety) Regulations 1992. The Tobacco and Vapes Act 2026 re-enacts that ban from 29 October 2026 (s.8).
Pablo pouches are tobacco-free, so they aren't tobacco snus. SnusBox sells tobacco-free nicotine pouches, not tobacco snus. The Act defines a "nicotine product" to include any substance containing nicotine that is intended to be delivered into the body, other than tobacco, vapes and licensed medicines (s.51).
From 29 October 2026, it is an offence to sell a vaping or nicotine product, including nicotine pouches, to anyone under 18 in England and Wales (s.10). For the full picture, read is snus legal in the UK?

FAQs
Are Pablos legal in the UK?
Yes. As of October 2026, Pablo pouches are tobacco-free nicotine pouches, not tobacco snus, which has been illegal to sell in the UK since 1992 (Tobacco for Oral Use (Safety) Regulations 1992). From 29 October 2026 it is an offence to sell nicotine pouches to anyone under 18 in England and Wales (Tobacco and Vapes Act 2026, s.10).
Are Pablos 50mg or 30mg?
Both numbers describe the same Exclusive pouch. The 50mg on the front is nicotine per gram of pouch material, and 30mg is the amount in each pouch. Compare brands on the per-pouch figure.
What's the difference between Pablo Silver, Gold and Exclusive?
Strength and flavour range. Silver is 10.2mg with 7 flavours, Gold is 17mg with 14, the original mints are 24mg with 3, and Exclusive is 30mg with 25. Every can is £3.79.
Which Pablo is the strongest?
Exclusive, at 30mg per pouch, is the strongest Pablo we stock. It's only for people already comfortable on strong pouches. If you do move up, go gradually from Gold via the 24mg mints.
Is Pablo the strongest nicotine pouch in the UK?
No. Several pouches sold in the UK have higher per-pouch strengths than Pablo's 30mg, going up to 45mg. Strength isn't a goal, so match the rung to what you already use.
Are Pablos better than ZYN?
Neither is better. Pablo Silver 10.2mg (£3.79) sits close to ZYN 11mg (£4.19), and Pablo Gold 17mg sits above ZYN XX Strong 13.5mg, the strongest ZYN we stock. Our ZYN range also includes Mini cans and we don't stock a Pablo Mini, so choose on format and flavour.
Which is better, Pablo or Velo?
The strongest Velo we stock is 10mg at £4.99, so Pablo Silver 10.2mg at £3.79 is the like-for-like comparison. After that, it comes down to flavour range and how you like the pouch to feel.
Is Pablo snus, and does it contain tobacco?
No. "Pablo snus" and "pablos" are everyday names, but Pablo is tobacco-free. PouchSpot lists its contents as nicotine, plant fibres, water, flavourings and pH adjusters. We sell tobacco-free nicotine pouches only, never tobacco snus.
What are Pablo nicopods?
"Nicopods" is an informal word for nicotine pouches. So Pablo nicopods are simply Pablo nicotine pouches.
Which Pablo flavours come in more than one strength?
Blue Raspberry, Blueberry Peach Ice, Kiwi, Pear and Pineapple come at 10.2mg, 17mg and 30mg. Cola, Dark Cherry, Frosted Ice, Frosted Mint, Grape Ice, Tropical Punch and Strawberry Kiwi come at 17mg and 30mg.
Does Pablo do a bubblegum flavour?
Yes. Bubble Gum is part of the Exclusive range, and we only stock it at 30mg, so it's for strong-pouch users only.
How do you use Pablo pouches?
Place one pouch between your gum and upper lip and don't chew it. Follow the guidance on the can for how long to keep it in. Keep used pouches in the lid compartment until you can bin them.
What are the side effects of strong pouches like Pablo?
Common ones are hiccups, gum irritation and nausea, and they're more likely at higher strengths. Nicotine is addictive at every strength. Take the pouch out if you feel unwell.
Is 1 pouch equal to 1 cigarette?
We haven't found a sourced figure for that, so we don't give cigarette equivalents. We compare mg of nicotine per pouch instead.
Who makes Pablo nicotine pouches?
Pablo is made by N.G.P Tobacco ApS, trading as NGP Empire, in Aalborg, Denmark. The same company makes Killa.
Where can I buy Pablo in the UK, and how much does it cost?
Every Pablo can we stock is £3.79 on our Pablo brand page, whichever strength or flavour you choose. The multi-buy discount applies to Pablo too. The buying section above shows the tiers and what they work out at per can.
For adult nicotine users only (18+). Contains nicotine, which is an addictive substance.
